Kid's Que
The Kid’s Que gives young grill masters a chance to shine in their own BBQ competition! With adult supervision for safety, kids take charge at the pit and turn in their best entries for judging—fun, learning, and tasty memories guaranteed
The Kid’s Que is split into two age groups, 6–11 and 12–17, so everyone gets a fair shot at the fun. The competition takes place on Saturday, November 1st, with turn-ins scheduled for 10:00 AM sharp.
Food & Fun
The TexRed Music Festival & Cook-Off brings two Texas traditions together—live country music and championship BBQ—at the Galveston County Fairgrounds. Teams from across the region will fire up their pits for a state championship cook-off featuring chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket, plus daily Jackpot contests with cash prizes. Festival-goers can enjoy incredible food, family-friendly fun, and a full lineup of live performances. Whether you’re competing for bragging rights or just soaking in the music and flavors, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss.
